Advanced calculation tools for formulators

Evonik Oil Additives has developed calculation tools for formulators to aid in finding the correct blending efficiency, viscosity index, base oil mixtures, CCS viscosity, and gear oil additive formulations.

Blending efficiency

Calculation of the % by weight of an Evonik Oil Additives VII needed to reach a desired viscosity at 100 °C.

Oil viscosity index

Calculate kinematic viscosity and/or the viscosity index of a formulation.

Base oil mixtures

Calculate viscosity or ratio of oils needed to achieve a viscosity.

CCS viscosity of group I base oils

The CCS viscosity of a base stock at a given temperature knowing its viscosity at 100ºC.
